nex thing i kno i follow the primrose inta the box an thats ok cause i got her ta look at all ta miself. she mosly ignore me tho bein royaltiy an all. we stop once fer the humans ta take on food and drink and i git to pawin and kiking and hammerin on that metal box til mi ears ring. i tell ya they know jack has hit town! primrose jus look disgustd.
we arrive soon an mi word sheila got a whole room for me all insulate up cozy and a heatir if i need it. the laurel woman made me mi own ear warmers fer reel cold days and i look pritty slick in em. i got the run a the barn so i don got ta go out in the bad weather and i got three other guys with me that need speshul care. we got a big roun thing a hay the size a small automobile. the woman send mi bukit feed pan food snaks and a course that stoopit wormer stuff with me. she evin cook my evenin meal an sen it so i feel at right at home. an this mornin i git another hot meal which i lik jus fine. sheila is trying to get me ta eat soaked alfalfer cube but i tole the woman and i tole her no sir i onlee like em broke up real fine by hand.
sheila tole the woman that i wok in my new room las night like i own it and thats exakly how i feel. onlee bad thing is sheila got the sandcherry vit comin nex week an she aint skeerd ta look in mi mouth. well we see who wins that one - im 44 year old which is a few more than her an i gotta life time a tricks up mi sleeve.

Wowee - what an adventure Jack! And you got to meet and travel with Primrose!!
Sounds like you will be fussed over very suitably in your new abode.
Our friend Patch, who is 38 yrs young, don't have many teeth left either and he has to have special mush. He had some problems a while ago and now they are adding some imported food called Speedibeet to his dinner to help it all go smoothly. He reckons it's the best stuff ever and can't understand why the humans were not feeding him that years ago.
Here's hoping the stinky mouth is just a lump of food stuck behind the molars!
I don't like the dentist coming out either. Thankfully me human did something she calls The Equine Touch on my face before and afterward and that helped me jaws not ache for so long after. She did that on Patch the other day and he nearly fell asleep! He tried to say it was cuz it was his nap time anyway. hahaha
love
Merry from Australia
Jack, you are one lucky guy to have so many ladies take care of you! Herself for knowing what is best for you, Sheila for being able to make it happen and Primrose for being Primrose! Stay warm my friend, I'm sure Shaeffer will miss you since now it's just him vs Molly at feeding time!
Well, that Jack certainly thinks he is one cool dude. The ride was a little aggrivating as Jack kept whispering sweet nothings in my longears - and they were sweet NOTHINGS!! Sorry, Jack is past waltzing to a fine tune, AND his breath!!!but don't the coat look nice. Sheila has him on the other side of the barn with a walkway between us. I can feel his stares and you know, don't tell Ote, but I kind of like it - feeling special.Oh dear!!
Oh I am in shock!
Jack, you are one fine storyteller. I had to stop every few lines though b/c I was getting teary thinking about you leaving Sheaffer!
I hope Sheila's "vitnery" can help out with your teeth, and I'm very glad to hear that you have such a fine place to stay with great company.
Now someone is going to have to get Sheaffer back on here so I know he is okay! Not to mention The Woman - I am sure this has been hard on her, letting you go, Jack.
Rafer and Redford send their very best and Redford says "give 'em hell"- he is not fond of "treatments" in general. :)
merry my frend good ta here from ya. yer buddy patch soun like a good one with lotsa miles still lef in him. that mush is powerful stuff espexially with that speedibeet added. kin ya tell me where ta fine that equine tetch thing pleese so they kin try it on mee. i will let ya know how it work.
dogma i tell ya it sure beat where i was three year ago when i got surrendered ta sheila. after she fix me up for six month i come to sonnys place and just got ta feelin like a new man. now im bak with sheila and the good life continue. the whole buncha them kno how ta treat an ole man but i tell ya i miss sonny and i kno he mis me. i spen a lotta time lookin at the primrose to keep mi mind okupied and its a good view fer sure.
aha primrose so you was lissenin ta me all along! sonny sez i gotta a silver tongue and rustick charm thet can charm the birds outta the trees. he also suggess i do some garglin fer tha swamp mouth which soun better then havin the vit stick me with needles and pry my mouth opin. i will attemp to write you a poeme.
billie you are a good one and sonny an me both know it. he is not speakin ta the woman but i hope his words get unstuck soon. he gotta write or fer sure he bust wide open. redferd and me gotta be some sorta relative up close cos he feel jus the same about them so called treatmints. he got some good fight and strong opinionz in him that boy does. you tell him that vit gal will kno she bin threw a war when i git done.
Hiya Jack,
Dunno if there are many Equine Touch people in Canada yet but maybe someone from USA can help Sheila? It's really good for horses and ponies that have been abused (I'll bet donkeys love it to!).

love Merry
thankyou merryhorse i have pass this infermation on to sheila.
Jack,
We forgot to mention how excited ma is! She might be able to meet you in March 'cause she's taking a course on animal raking. No idea what she is going to learn, but the practice session is at Primrose. Maybe you better call sonny and go back if it's warm by then. Now she also wants to learn this Equine Touch, but first she's learning Canine Touch-something for us!!
stay warm!! good luck with the new vit!
Hay Sheaffer - thanks for the email. My mom hasn't been doing her duty by letting me communicate with my frens. Hay Jack - well I gotta say I'm gonna miss ya! But I know Miss Sheila will take real good care of you. I hope she sends updates and pictures. You take care my fren!
Sheaffer - you needs to get another buddy - er BUDDY - can I come be your new BFF?
Your fren,
dogma kin ya teach yer woman the touch thing this week - that vit is gonna need it!
buddy from nevada did you tell us the tempercheer is 70 and yer snow all gone? how long would it take me ta walk to yer house? sonny wants you ta come up here to be his bffff as soon as ya can. me im not sure what a bffff is but he says its a good thing.
Hay Sheaffer and Jack - tell your woman to check your email - I just sent her a link to a GREAT donkey story.
Jack - its too long a walk for you - you would need a fast train or an aeroplane to get here - you are always welcome here - as is sonny!
Your fren
OMG! Does this mean TJ the terror is returning? Very cold here too. -23C tonight. Annie is smugly wearing two blankets, we hear, but we are left to the elements. Since we ate the barn door, we have cruelly been locked in a paddock during the day. At least the fat lady puts us in our box stall at night.
Oh Fred N Ginger - mom had to take me out of my paddock a few weeks ago because we had rain for two weeks and it was flooded. So I got to roam the backyard until I started chewing on the house - so back in my paddock I went - luckily there was only one big puddle left so I had plenty of dry ground to sleep on.
Your fren,
Hi Jack
Dougie would like to share his dentist trick with you - he waits till they approach him with the gag & then rears up & waves his hoofs threateningly in their faces. TBH, it hasn't worked yet; but he is only 4 and a bit, so doesn't yet have your authoratative presence.
He also adds that Speedibeet is very nice & helps keep a fellow's waistline to the apporopriate "beachball" profile.
What a tough decision to surrender you back to Sheila - I think you should be more understanding of your woman's desire to blub!
Look forward to regular updates & all the best from a still snowy Scotland.
frednginger i dunno why but they dont care for it when ya gnaw on the buildins. molly could eat a good size strukchure in an aftirnoon. we got that terribile cold goin on an boy am i glad a my heatid room. no more shiverin fer me. i seen that tj delinqwint and boy howdy i gotta hope they doan let him loose on sonny. i hear he got his own parole officir or maybe they sed volunteer - either way hes a caution.
buddy i give her the link and im still decidin about walkin to yer place. mi new room is reel nice but im kinda hankerin after a noo advenchure. how mucha that house did you get et before they went an stopped ya?
good boy dougie the rear is yer basic fightin move for vits and other tearists. also a head butt is good and towin them aroun at the end of a rope. i confes i kinda miss herself and all the fussin at me. she put a good hunert pound or more on me and got mi feet good an everythin but this year nothin could keep january outta mi bodee. maybe i git ta go ta sonnys partee an see em all.
Well Jack - I got a good couple of bites. It was the wood trim around the windows - I'll try and remember to have mom take a picture and email to you then maybe Sheaffer's woman could post it for all to see. She was pretty upset with me - I knew the minute she flew out of the back door I was in trouble - but what did she do - through a rope around my neck and led me to my paddock and LOCKED me in - well I never!
Your fren,
Jack - I forgot to add - this isn't the time of year for you to be walking here - its only gonna get colder as you come south until you get here - there is snow everywhere north of here. So stay in your heated stall - and ask Sheila if you could have a guest!
Your fren,
Hi there Jack! Sounds like you are a very lucky ducky, I mean donkey! I hate being cold too. Told the woman this in no uncertain terms when she clipped my hair off, then drove me, and it was only 55 degrees... I did some fancy moves when she asked me to move off... I moved UP with all 4 feet. Didn't faze her though. She just made me work all the harder. I've since given up the extravagant first steps, as it has finally gotten up to the 60's in the past few days.
Our woman puts blankets on us when it's cold here but sometimes I wish we could go into our nice, warm barn at home. Pnut won't stay in the stalls here because she was frightened by a tornado 4 years ago on her first visit to Florida. Says she feels trapped and hates the noise of the rain and leaves hitting the tin roof. It kinda scares me too.
I know you must miss Sonny sumpin' awful, and certainly he misses you as well. He is probably worrying about you daily. Maybe you can go to his birthday party in May and, as a special birthday present, go home with him for the summer...
I fervently hope I can get to meet all of you some day. My woman says that if I'm a really really good pony we might be able to go to a place called Bromont to play in June... is that anywhere near you?!
Stay warm my friend, I love your ear warmers!
buddy what kinda flaver was that house? not havin a full complement of teeth i dont have the pleasur of samplin wood products no more. sheila say you are welcome any time and to bring some hot desert wether with ya.
finn mi boy you jus keep up the fancy feet work - it keeps em on their toes so ta speke. your lady frend is correk in not trustin them tornaders a few a which i seen miself. i ask aroun and it seem that bromont is about three hunnert and fifty mile from here. would ya consider comin to the shindig they call the royal fair or somethin?
Well gee Jack I don't know what kinda wood that was - it was nice and wet and smooshy - quite tasty.
Well I'll pack my backpack and see if mom will let me travel that far by myself.
Your fren,
Hay Jack - tell Sheaffer's woman to check his email - mom sent a pic of my artwork on the window frame.
Your fren,
Buddy
