I Don't Believe It!

Such turmoil. Such confusion. Welcome to Chez Sheaffer.
Molly is moving tomorrow. What with the Woman only having one arm for steering, and Molly having a sensitive ankle from last summer, which limits her trail abilities, it has been decided that she will move back in with her former humans. Her bags are packed and she leaves tomorrow. Being Molly, she simply made a light belching sound and said she looks forward to her new adventure. I don't think she realizes I'm not coming with her...
We are invited to visit her any time and I plan to take them up on the offer. There are two new lads here to keep me company but I do believe I will miss La Molly...

Sheaffer, I gasped out loud when I saw the new photo. Although I shouldn't have because, ahem, erm, WE HAVE ONE OF THOSE IN DONKEY SIZE TOO.

Rafer Johnson has not had to wear it full-time yet but I suspect when the acorns fall this year he is going to have to have the iron mask on. He developed quite a fondness for them last year and I think that is what sent him over the edge into white line disease land. We do NOT want to revisit that.

And Molly, our dear mirror-loving Molly is moving back to her former home? Oh my. It sounds like she is fine with a new adventure. But I know all these changes are hard on you.

Please tell Molly we will miss her and hope to hear from her now and then. I confess, I sort of wonder if she is really going to be with Buddy and just telling you she's heading to her former home.

Who are the new lads? When you have a chance, make The Woman take off that iron mask and let you tell us about them!

billie - et tu Brutus? A donkey muzzle at November Hill? Please tell me it's all a horrible mistake.

Don't worry, I made my displeasure know all day today after Molly drove off. I too wondered if she was headed for Nevada and Buddy...I have much to say about the new lads and will fill you in as soon as I am unmuzzled.

Sheaffer, unlike Billie I did not gasp out loud when I saw your latest implement of torture. the wonders of world-wide web connection have allowed the torturers to share knowledge & these gruesome masks are also available on my side of the Atlantic.

Fortunately, my woman observed my inventiveness in removing the iron mask and now thinks it is easier just to fence of small pockets of grass for Tammy & I.

When your new companions have settled in; you must teach them the removal technique. It is quite simple - the tallest companion takes a firm hold of the head strap, you duck down a bit & wriggle out, making sure to tear bits of equipment as you do so!

Best wishes to La Molly & I hope you don't miss her too much.

Kind regards

Dougie

PS My woman says to pass on regards to your woman too - the injured arm sounds troublesome

Hi Sheaffer,

Are you still missing La Molly or have you adjusted to life without her? Having a good friend move away is difficult but at least you know she has gone to a good home. You will have lots of good and not so good memories (TJ) of the adventures the two of you shared.

Make sure you keep us updated on La Molly's new life.

Your Friend,

Willy

Vee - Herself and the male human are off on holidays south of the border, inflicting themselves on our southerly neighbours. We have a minder, not young Jamie this time, but someone to see to our basic needs. The new lads are quite lively - one of them, Wilson the two-tone pony, is the one who inflicted the shoulder damage on the Woman. All a terrible misunderstanding, of course. I will explain more later.

Willy - La Molly is very busy arguing with the three young humans and generally having a wonderful time. They are now old enough to deal with her strong will and general intransigence and she does not care for that at all...I miss her considerably but have a busy schedule, so that helps. I will tell you about my field trip and driving adventure when She returns from her looting and pillaging.
